FORGOTTEN PROJECTS

One of my favourite infact...and I wondered how I could have forgotten this one.
The only tiger Ive finished.
It was done with full passion and in one of the shortest duration.
I remember starting and finishing this one during the school holidays and while we were in KK.
I wanted to frame it but decide against it as there was no place to hang it. Folding it and putting it aside lead it to be forgotten.
Not a really suitable picture for home.... as feng shui observer puts it.

I put my foot there so that you'll see the actual size of it

I really have forgotten this one but I know I completed the piece out of boredom. Freelance colouring of left overs threads of Snow white and the seven dwarves.

LIZZIE'S SUMMER SUNFLOWER

This is one of the most beautiful crochet pattern for sunflowers that I have come across on the net. It's not the normal pattern as the end product is a stalk of sunflower itself.
A beautiful product therefore a project worth trying.

Row 2–4: Ch 2, dc in each st across, turn.

FINISHING

Assemble Stem Cut dowel to desired length. Using yarn needle and matching yarn, wrap crochet stem around dowel and sew the edges together. Leave the last 1"/2.5cm open. Sew across the lower edge of the stem to keep the dowel from slipping out. .. Add Leaves Using yarn tails, sew one leaf on each side of stem, about 5–7"/12.5–18cm down from the top of the stem

Assemble Flower Head

First Ring of Petals Using yarn tail, sew the first row of petals around the flower center, aligning the lower edge of the petals with Round 6 (the first B colored round). TIP: When attaching the petals, bring the two ends together to form a circle, and sew the ends together. Then arrange the petals evenly around the flower head before sewing in place. This will help with spacing.

Second Ring of Petals Arrange the petals of the second row to fall between the petals of the first row. Using yarn tail, sew the lower edge of the second row of petals around the first row of petals.

Attach Stem to Sunflower Head Insert top of dowel into the hole in the back of the flower head. Pull crochet fabric up and over to cover the top of the dowel and sew in place. Using yarn needle, weave in all ends. . . . .

TOO FAR AHEAD TO STOP

Too 'far' ahead to stop. Much to Tisha's dislike, I'm continuing my task of finishing this project. I'm sure 'something' went wrong somwhere here. The colours are really way off. Talk about green hair...

TISHA'S COLOURS

Something is not going right here. It seems that the colour doesn't really match with the original picture. It's even a little smaller than Yona's.

IT'S DONE

Well it's finally completed and ready for framing.
Filling in the last stitches ( the hair part) took me such a long time. There was no more excitments in stitching when the 'picture' is already 'seen'.
Anyhow.... I still have to do Tisha's, which infact I have started last night.
We'll see how long this one will take me.

AT LAST I FOUND IT!

Ha ha ha.... I'm laughing because I have found it at last. Yup... I have managed to get hold of a programmee for converting pictures to cross stitch patterns. It's a fifteen day free trial period too.
Cheapskate me (he he..) spent three days converting photos of the girls and of whatever pictures I want to sew... i.e. in due time. I would have spent more days doing it but my holiday trip was due.
In the 'excitement' of the projects, I ended up bringing one of them on the trip. A good idea too as it turned out I managed to almost complete two of its four parts.
I was seen cross stitching everywhere...at the airport, in the plane and in hotel's lobbies . I would have done it in the bus too if it wasn't so bumpy.( I tried but gotten so dizzy that I gave up the idea)
See what I've done so far...

Hhmm..... I think I will need to change the thread on her teeth..... she's complaing its not as in the picture
